Pink’s Picks: ZO Skin Health Complexion Renewal Pads

I AM BACKKKK- life has been SO busy. I started another new job (same company) and my travel schedule has tripled. Between wedding planning, work, attending weddings, and social plans, life is hectic but I am back with a new Pick’s Pick after trying a new product the past month that I am SO excited to share – ZO Skin Health Complexion Renewal Pads. These have been a game changer for my skin especially with my travel schedule. I have been in and out of different climates, in dry airplane air and have had to wear masks in the hospitals for hours (I work in med device) so I really needed to up my skin game and add medical grade products to help keep my skin clear, clean and happy and these peel pads have been incredible. If you’re unfamiliar with ZO, ZO Skin Health is a brand founded by dermatologist, Dr. Zein Obagi. As a brand, ZO is committed to skincare backed by science so they’re all about products that deliver real to results (LIKE FOR REAL). Here’s the deets are the peel pads:

Why I love ZO Skin Health Complexion Renewal  Pads

As I mentioned, I have been traveling A LOT so I really needed to add a product into my skincare routine to help keep my skin clear and happy because I was going to so many events and had our engagement photos scheduled as well between the chaos.  So I treated myself to a hydrafacial and my esthetician recommended trying the ZO peel pads to help keep my skin bright and to help avoid clogged pores between my crazy schedule. THESE ARE EVERYTHING. The peel pads have glycolic and salicylic acid to help smooth and brighten the skin and botanical extracts that keeps any redness away. I have tried other peel pads in the past but felt like they made my skin dry and rough but these do the opposite. It’s simply an easy-to-use pad with incredible benefits. These have helped my hyperpigmentation SO much which is one of my biggest skin struggles. I have noticed my acne scars are way less noticeable and they’re just so easy to use. Plus they make my skin feel so smooth, soft and clean after every use without drying out the skin. They truly renew the top layer of your skin with each use- exfoliating away dead skin cells while also brightening your complexion- OBSESSED.

When to use ZO Skin Health Complexion Peel Pads

I started incorporating the ZO Skin Peel Pads into my nighttime routine. After I cleanse my face, I will then use the pad, then I apply my serums and moisturizer. I love that the packaging is easy to travel with- not too bulky and you only use one pad a day so these will last for at least 2 months!

Where to buy ZO Skin Health Complexion Renewal Pads

I bought my ZO pads at a local esthetician’s office but you can find them directly on Amazon and ZO Skin Health’s website! Plus they’re VERY reasonably priced- under $60!

Overall Rating:

This product works- period. A solid 5/5. Give the ZO peel pads a try and let me know what you think!

Pink’s Picks: Current AMAZON Fashion Finds

Happy September- anyone else think it’s CRAZY we’re halfway through 2022?! Insane! Today I am SO excited to share my recent Amazon fashion finds! These are items I have bought and are a 5/5 in my book for fashion and style. I have always been skeptical of some clothing on Amazon but honestly, I have been overwhelmed with how LEGIT some of their stuff is at the price! Here are my recent favs:

Free People Running Shorts DUPE

SO I found the PERFECT dupe to the Free People “The Way Home” Running shorts. They’ve always been sold out in my size so I went to Amazon to see if they had a similar pair and of course they did! I love my Free People shorts but these are essentially the same…and you can get them on Amazon Prime and they’re only $24. I highly recommend giving these a try if you’re looking for a new pair of running shorts.

Linen Two Piece Set

I had been looking for a cute and simple linen set to throw on for the summer that could then transition into fall but I didn’t want to spend over $100 on each set (so confused how some sets are $200 for each separate LOL). I found the CUTEST linen two piece set on Amazon that I legit can’t stop wearing. Plus, the top and shorts can we worn separately so you can get a ton of use out of it! And the best part? It is only $25! I know the button down will be perfect for fall too (& it comes in SO many colors).

One Shoulder Top

This one shoulder top is SO fun but also insanely comfortable- like feels like pajamas. It comes in so many great colors and has the best stretch. It can easily be dressed up or dressed down. I plan to add more colors but the pink has been my fav!

Asymmetrical Crop Top

We all love an effortless, easy crop top and this cute asymmetrical one from Amazon is SO cute. Plus- it’s under $15! I need one in every color plz….

Waffle Lightweight Shacket

Fall is quickly approaching which is SO crazy and I ordered this cute shacket and it’s the perfect transition piece for fall! It’s lightweight, comes in so many colors and is still perfect to wear with shorts but also can’t wait to wear with boots and leggings. And again- the price point can’t be beat- under $35!!

Pink’s Picks: Summer Essentials Edition

Wait…how is it already June!?!?!? I swear, our parents were right when they said “time flies” when we were kids. And here we are- half way through the year. With summer on the horizon, I wanted to share my Pink’s Picks: Summer Essentials Edition. These are my basic must haves when it comes to warm weather, boppin around town and enjoying the long summer nights. I am keeping it short and sweet so check out a few of the favs:

Supergoop! Glowscreen

As you know by now, I love good sunscreen. It’s a daily essential. While you should wear sunscreen year around, during the summer you’re probably more likely to be in the sun so time to layer up! This Super Goop Sunscreen aka “Glowscreen” is a must have. It doesn’t make me break out, goes on smooth and gives the skin a dewy glow just on it’s own- like super glowy but not greasy. The whole brand I just LOVE because they’re literally dedicated to just sunscreen- making it wearable and actually enjoyable to use.  Also, I love this company’s founder and their mission. Check out the founder on the How I Built This Podcast- one of my favorite episodes! (I also love their lip balm)

L*Space Swimsuit

I used to dread putting on a swimsuit until I discovered high quality swim lines– one of those being L*Space. This brand has been my go to for a cute, flattering basic swimsuit that will last. I know it’s expensive but I am telling you the quality is SO worth it. I linked my personal favorite swim top but you can’t go wrong with any of their cute options and colors!

Agolde Parker Shorts

It has taken me literal YEARS to find a good pair of jean shorts. They’re either too short and up your butt or just hit you at an awkward angle…maybe just me but it’s been a journey. There is nothing better than a good pair of jean shorts once you find that perfect pair and I finally have! I know the price of these seems insane but they are SOOO worth it. I grab for these anytime it’s warm out and they’re not up my butt and are the perfect length. They’re also made from high quality denim. I’d size down because they do run big!

Lululemon Shorts

It’s summer and heating up so time to replace my leggings with shorts for my daily walks! I discovered this pair through another blogger @laurenkaysims and they do NOT disappoint. They’re that perfect short for running errands, walking, chilling. They’re not too short, have pockets and adjustable drawstrings. I can’t rave about these enough- my favorite summer staple but I don’t recommend them for running.

fresh Sugar Lip Balm Sunscreen

Sharing yet another sunscreen product but making it lip edition. The fresh Sugar Lip Balm with sunscreen is honestly my favorite year around but I keep it extra handy during the dry, warm summer months. I love all the fun colors it comes in for a natural, subtle lip while also protecting you from the sun. My favorite is the Honey color! It’s also on major sale!!!

My Current 3 Favorite Home Stores (& what I’ve bought!)

Once we were working on our remodel, I was anxiously waiting to get all the new furniture and décor- the best part! I have never really moved and started from scratch furniture wise. After collecting items over the years, it just felt right to get all new stuff to bring into our new home. I spent many hours on Pinterest, Instagram, watching HGTV  and looking at types of home décor inspiration. I loved so many different types of ‘vibes’ and found it so hard to find places to buy what I was looking for, without breaking the bank. BUT after over 7 months of remodeling, I finally found (almost) all of our furniture and accessories! I wish I had found a post on someone’s favorite places to buy furniture/décor for a modern home with an earthy, zen twist so I am sharing my current favorite home stores I have been LOVING for my furniture and décor, for every budget: .

West Elm

If there is one store I’d want my home to mirror after, it might be West Elm with a side of Restoration Hardware. But, West Elm is MUCH more affordable. West Elm has all things home– furniture, décor, lights, vanities, etc.. They blend mid century, coastal and modern elements in their designs, often mixing textures and textiles and I always love their neutrals with pops of color. They just have a great variety. I actually knew I wanted items from West Elm but I ended up being surprised at how affordable their furniture was given the quality compared to other retailers. I’ve done Wayfair and Living Spaces for furniture in the past and it was great for an immediate solution. West Elm is higher quality in my opinion and is built to last. They’re also one of the most sustainable home furnishing retailers and focus on fair trade and local artists for some of their designs, which I love. I ended up buying a majority of our big furniture here (couch, chairs, dining table) and we love it all. Some of it was backordered due to COVID but we somehow got it all in time for our move. They have great financing options as well with their credit card if that’s a route for you when making these big purchases. Here a few of my favorites I bought:

Carlo Mid-Century Chair

Mobile Chandelier

Harmony Sofa

Poly and Bark

Thanks to my sister in law, I discovered Poly and Bark and I am OBSESSED! Super budget friendly, quick shipping and beautiful leather and mid-century modern designs, Poly and Bark is a dream. They have a limited selection of products compared to West Elm but have a great variety of living room, bedroom and workspace designs and furniture options. They also offer free shipping, a 30 day try at home period and let you order swatches of fabric for free. Their website is seamless and easy to use and all of the furniture we got from here was simple to set up and durable (especially their leather!).I got my kitchen chairs and ottoman from here and they were a fraction of the price compared to some West Elm options.  I am so glad we discovered Poly and Bark and also found out they have an outlet store in Moorpark, CA that we will be checking out soon! Here is what I bought/plan to add:

Gio Ottoman

Circa Dining Chair

Kali Pouf

Target

Who doesn’t love Target?! Honestly, this past year, this department store giant has upped their home décor and furniture game. With brands and collaborations with Magnolia and Studio McGee, their high quality collections have me spending more and more every time I make a Target run. From basic furniture like end tables and ottomans to cute mugs and fake plants, they really have a great variety of options for all types of styles. They also have cute rugs too! I have found myself browsing online and I follow the @targetdoesitagain Instagram account too to find cute new released items. Here is what I am eyeing to pick up my next target run/is already in my online cart:

Faux Eucalyptus Tree

Outdoor/Indoor Rug

Round Bamboo Bowl

Shaker Accent Table

While these are my FAV stores at the moment, I found a lot of inspiration online from Instagram accounts I just have to share. While sometimes I know interior designers post items a bit pricier, all of these gals IG feeds inspired me. They all helped me discover the type of elements, colors, textures, and overall energy I wanted to have in our place (they also have their own online stores and/or offer interior services!). Here a few designers worth a follow for GREAT home inspiration (one is local to OC!)

Lindye Galloway – based in Newport Beach!

Amber Interiors

Eye for Pretty

I can’t wait to share photos of the place when it’s complete- hopefully SOON!
