Why I love ROSE INC Skin Enhance Luminous Skin Tint Serum Foundation:

You all know I love efficiency so a product that is doing more than one thing is a win-win. The skin tint serum is a must have because of the benefits alone- it has sodium hyaluronate to plump the skin, squalene to hydrate the skin (a natural plant derived agent), and acetyl tetrapeptide-2 which is used to provide environmental protection. The product is vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free and comes in recycled package. SO MUCH GOODNESS! I also just LOVE the the consistency- it’s so lightweight, hydrating and makes your skin feel SOOO smooth and there’s no weird smell. The package is great too-easy to pump out and a little goes a long way. I love applying it with my skin and it just presses into the skin so nicely. It also makes the skin SOOOO glowy and not oily- so if you have oily skin, I still think you can get away with this. It’s just so perfect and easy to wear and gives your skin the most natural finish while delivering real skin benefits- a must have!! It doesn’t have SPF so make sure you wear sunscreen with it but all in all, a great product that actually works AND is easy to apply.

When to use Skin Tint Serum Foundation

I love using the skin tint every day and it is best for the “no make up” look or just a natural finish- your skin looks like SKIN (no cake face plz). I will mix with concealer on days I need more coverage but I wear it to the office, out to run errands and even out for a casual dinner. It’s perfect for summer too (just wear SPF under it!) I add setting powder to take away any shine throughout the day as well! But when I wear it, it can last all day long. My favorite dewy look is topping this on the Supergoop! glowscreen– so pretty and simple.

Why I love OSEA’s Anti-Aging Body Balm

Ya’ll know I love clean products…and that is what OSEA is all about. California made, OSEA is a skincare line and all of their products are derived from nature so no synthetic dyes, fragrances or artificial non-sense. Their Anti-Aging Body Balm is one of the examples- it’s vegan, organic and WORKS. The body balm is pure hydration in a (glass) bottle with the benefits of a serum. It includes coconut oil, seaweed (which improves elasticity of the skin) and also passion fruit seed oil (improves hydration/appearance of the skin). The silky, smooth balm goes on the skin perfectly– with no residue or sticky feeling and is an instant boost of hydration but truly better than any other body lotions I have ever used. It feels SO luxurious….it’s like the perfect blend of lotion and an oil so your skin is not only hydrated but also very glowy. It also is the perfect fragrance- reminds me of a spa but subtle enough to not overwhelm your senses. I love that this product is like two-in-one- giving my body a glow and also helping to keep my skin firm and hydrated. I loveeee efficiency so I am OBSESSED– plus the glass bottle is my favorite part.

When to use OSEA’s Anti-Aging Body Balm

After every single shower, I am using OSEA’s body balm. I love the natural glow it gives me- especially on my chest and neck area because the serum almost seems to sculpt the skin. Another great thing about this product is that you can layer more products over it- so another oil or lotion. It won’t feel too heavy or thick. The only thing  I would note is that you should shake up your bottle if you notice any separation! This brings all the products back together for the perfect, smooth balm your skin will love.

Pink’s Picks: Facial Lounge Pore Clarifying Cleanser

I am BACKKKK and better than ever!! Today I am so excited to share one of my HOLY GRAIL/GRAND LIST products. I have been using this for the past 5 years and it is the one product I buy over and over again- without fail! It is the Facial Lounge Pore Clarifying Cleanser (aka the brown wash). First off, you might be wondering “what is facial lounge?”. Facial Lounge is a skin treatment center and brand based in Corona Del Mar, CA. The owner, Amber, created the brand after her own struggle with acne and began studying esthetics and ingredients to bring a vegan skincare line to life. I stumbled upon Facial Lounge right when I moved to Orange County when I was looking for a place to get facials (they used to be out of a gym!). After my first visit, I immediately joined their monthly facial program…and that was almost 5 years ago so it’s safe to say I have invested a lot of money into this place because I am OBSESSED. They now have a beautiful location in CDM so if you’re local, this place is a must visit for a great facial. BUT their cleanser is the reason I got hooked! Here’s the deets:

Why I love Facial Lounge Pore Clarifying Cleaner:

If you know me by know, you know I am a freak about ingredients- from the food I eat to the things I put on my skin. Facial Lounge’s pore clarifying cleanser was one of the only face cleaners I found 5 years ago that was not only vegan and cruelty free, but contained no parabens, fragrances or silicones. Plus, it works to not only get make up completely off my face (I don’t use makeup remover..) but makes my skin feel soft, fresh and clean without stripping away the natural oils. One of the star ingredients is the patented blend of tea tree oils– which is why my skin is never feels overly dry or tight after using this and these oils help naturally fight off blemishes without irritating the skin. The wash smells like a blend of peppermint and tea tree from the essential oils in the wash- there are NO artificial fragrances which is HUGE. Also, a great thing about this product is that it would work for any skin type- acne prone, sensitive, combination, dry and so on. I have never found another face wash on the market that is not only affordable, but WORKS and has legit real ingredients in it. Plus, I rarely break out now (just hormonal) and I truly believe this wash helps keep my blemishes almost non existent. Also, a little goes a long way so this lasts me forever but I always have more than one bottle- one in the shower, one for travel and an extra- it’s THAT GOOD 🙂 (they even have a mini bottle made just for travelling!)

When to use Facial Lounge Brown Wash:

I only use face cleanser at night so I use the brown wash every evening and I like to do a double wash if I am wearing make up because this gets my make up off better than ANY remover and I avoid make up wipes at all costs (they’re too harsh for your skin). I use about a quarters worth and just wash it directly all over my face, using my fingers in a circular motion and then I rinse with water. I then pat my face off with a clean wash cloth. The first time you use it, you will be shocked at how easily your makeup comes off (it’s because of the oils). You will likely never need make up remover again (unless you’re using theater make up or something LOL)

Pink’s Picks: Spa Technologies – Eco Defense Moisturizer

I am SOO excited…I feel like I discovered a hidden gem of a brand- Spa Technologies. I was spoiled by my bf to a spa day at the Montage in Laguna Beach (A MUST VISIT) and I had one of the best facials in my life…the kind of facial where after you look GOOD, no red and pink. Of course I stocked up on products recommended by my esthetician and that is how I discovered Spa Technologies and their Eco Defense Moisturizer (with SPF!) I learned this is a small batch company dedicated to skincare derived from seaweed (it has a lot of anti-aging properties)! Read on for WHY you NEED to try this product:

 

WHY I LOVE SPA TECHNOLOGIES ECO DEFENCE:

Okay so you might have read this company is all about skincare derived from seaweed above and thought HUH?! Here’s the scoop: seaweed contains so many vitamins and minerals and where they live, in seawater, has almost the identical chemistry as blood plasma, lymph and human body fluids. Seaweed has also evolved overtime on Earth to withstand constant environmental changes and has cellular compounds that help protect it from environmental factors/dangers (think UV radiation, pollution, smoke, etc.). Therefore, the founder of the company (who also owned a seaweed farm….yes a thing) decided to formulate skincare with the incredible natural properties of seaweed! So I was STOKED to get my hands on the moisturizer and I am obsessed. It has the most incredibly subtle scent but no added fragrances- smells like cucumbers and it is easy to apply and immediately moisturizers the skin. There is never a white residue. It’s a silky smooth texture but won’t make you oily and the bottle is super easy to use and I feel like it lasts forever because the pump helps you preserve more product. I love using this under my make up and will apply other sunscreen over it too if I know I will be outside for extra protections since it is only SPF 25. But as someone who needs moisturizer every AM, this is my most used. I use it every time before I apply my makeup and it gives my skin the perfect glow that I know is from natural ingredients (it uses titanium dioxide- better-for-you skin protectant from the sun). The smell too is seriously AMAZING!! It is also a CLEAN brand -NO nasty additives. 

WHEN TO USE SPA TECHNOLOGIES MOISTURIZER

I use my eco defense every single AM without fail and whenever I apply my makeup so even before a night out. It is the perfect amount of hydration- lightweight but effective. It’s perfect to reapply too- not sticky or thick so would be great to bring for a beach vacation.
